The Ford dealer quoted me £270 (including VAT) earlier today for a new disc for my touchscreen navigation system. Now I didn't expect it to be cheap, but I could get a brand new Tom Tom for that kind of money!

I do want a new disc - mine doesn't even have the M6 toll on it. When I'm driving down the M6, it thinks I'm going across open fields! Anyone got any suggestions?

Oh, and while I'm at it, does anyone know if it's possible to get a bluetooth phone kit integrated with the touchscreen system?

eBay-2007 version went for £75 last week. I got mine free as my 07 car had 05-06 maps!! 2007 version MUST come with purple update disc or it won't work. One guy on another forum purchased a copy off eBay-it didn't work. What version do you have now? I sold my 05-06 version for £70 on eBay a few weeks back...........

Bluetooth-mine has integrated bluetooth, as for retro fitting it-PITA i would say as you have no wiring, module or microphone.

I think I must have the old 03-04 disc. As I said, it actually has a number of fairly major roads missing. What's the purple update disc? Does it upgrade the system firmware or something?

Can you update the firmware and still use the original disc? Is ther an improvement in performance? Mine locks up occasionally, so if there's a software update that stops this, it would be handy.

eBay prices for the 06 and 07 discs seem to come in at £150+. Still awfully expensive!
