Are these common, as my 55 plate Focus had a recall job done relating to a leak around the cam followers last year at it's 12500 service.

At it's 50k service last week the same thing was diagnosed, and they had it in again today to carry out repairs... Just had a call and it's something else, so they need to get parts in.

I blame it on the french for this engine! Does anyone else have these problems or is it just me?

Paul.

I dont think we do a vast number, given that we see between 400-500 cars a week for Service and mechanical work i cant recall any particular pattern.I blame the French too but for other reasons.

That's a lot of motas wobble

Are the TDCi units exactly the same as the PSA ones, or do Ford tweak them a bit?

Is the TDCi unit in the Mondeo ST TDCi basically the same engine as the Pug 2.2 HDi then?

Only if Pug are useing the Ford engine must admit i dont know, they give us the 1.4(Yuck)1.6(Umm)2.0(Nice) in exchange for the 2.7TT Ford diesel they use.

If i remember correctly the units Pug supply us arent the same as their own, they were useing different(Better) blocks to us.
