Ready to buy myself a Fiesta ST.
Discussion
Hiya everyone!
At the end of 2004 my girlfriend and I went on a track day organised by Autocar spending the day in Fiesta St's at the pro-drive facilities. Since then we've been proper smitten with them.
Now that my Rover 200 vi's gearbox has died I think it's about time that I get my hands on the ST once and for all.
Has anyone had any experience of them? Also are there any common failings with them that I should be looking for when I'm on the garage forecourt?
I hope it feels as good to drive on the road as it does on the track and I can't wait!!
Cheers for your help

I've got one.
It's a fun little vehicle, pretty nippy although I feel it is missing some torque and am looking to rectify that as and when money becomes available.
It really is pretty stiff and some of the potholes etc around here do make it crash around a bit, having said that this is the first car I've had that I regularly take out just for a drive, just to have a grin on my face.
I recommend joining the owners club www.fiestastoc.com and getting info from there. Also if you join you can get discounts with insurers (Adrian Flux for example) and tuners so it can pay for itself very quickly.
Above all, enjoy!

I have one too. Welcome!
It's a decent enough little car- pretty rorty in an old school way that is good for a grin on the right road (not the motorway though- it could really do with a 6th gear!!). Considering it's meant to be just a little runabout for shopping I've managed to cover 3,000 miles since we bought ours in mid-April!
Here's mine:
