Mondeo TDCI P0500 Vehicle Speed Sensor = MIL light, cuts out
Discussion
Have plugged in to the OBD to see what all the fuss with the flashing glow plugs and MIL light is. Only done 25K, 2003 Dec 53 regd.
Have got DTCs of P0500 , P1000 and a U something
When clearing these, they immediately return.
Csr is driving really bad and goes into limp mode with flashing glow plug light if you try and accelerate more than gently, then a few seconds later complete cut out, have to turn ignition off and on , which then works for a short period until you try and accelerate .
Previously has had EGR valve and Camshaft speed sensor replaced, fault gone for a month, then returned , they replaced both pumps, and a injector ( or might have just recalibrated it ), that was in November, have hardly driven it much since as its such a pain.
