My renewal has come through from Admiral, and to be honest, I'm not happy about them wanting £800. Everyone seems to class my factory fitted sat-nav, "Infrared" leather and Xenons as "modifications". Sounds like an excuse to screw me for more cash if you ask me.

Anyway, who does cheapy cheap insurance on the ST?

Try A-Plan, they'll have an office near you, give them your details and let them find the best deal for you.

Though my ST is diesel it might be worth calling Direct Line who charge me £272.

They quoted me nearly a grand. Best quote so far has been the local branch of Swinton at £770. I'll use this to lean on Admiral and see if they can bring the cost down.

Have you got lots of points or is it your age because i'm through Privilege and it only comes out at just under £320 so i'd keep shopping round if i was you, that is through my wife aswell though.

No points, 5 years no claims, no accidents, aged 32. The Mrs. had a fault claim 3 years ago, but I've removed her from the policy. I think my postcode is the killer. OL (Oldham) has one of the worst ratings in the country frown

Just a quick update: got my policy from Esure today for £580, saving myself about £250. Same cover and excesses.

They're just Admiral by another name - their quote wasn't cheap.

Err, not quite! I was with Admiral-they quoted something silly like £650 at renewal time, Elephant halved it! Same company yes but quotes are different....
