KA with heater constantly on! HELP!!!

I was driving my 05 KA today and used the aircon for about 15min, stoped off for 10 min and from then on the heating is perminently on even in cold position.

i looked around online for answers and found out that there is a problem with a valve that controls the flow of the coolant.

can anyone confirm this and help with a solution?

Yes, heater valve sounds most likely.

Had the very same problem on my daughters car a few weeks ago, heater valve:-

thanks for the advice i will give the valve a go this weekend and hopefuy all will be sorted.
i phoned around a couple of parts companies and none of the can provide it, they say i can only buy it over the counter from ford. would anyone know where else i can get the valve in a hurry?

I would only fit a Ford one as i know of problems with some valves,valve sounds a certainty as panel problems are very rare.

hi everyone many thanks for all your help i got in contact with ford and they have taken it in and repaired it on the warranty. so hopefully i have cool air and won't roast and suffer from dehydration on my next 10 hour journey to london and back.
