Fiesta - Revs

Hi,

My sister has an s reg (98) Fiesta i think it is a 1.1
When she changes gear or slows down at a junction the revs seem to stay the same or even increase. Does anyone have any ideas?

I know i haven't explained it very well, but it is like the throttle cable is sticking??

Hmmmmm...have you checked the throttle cable?

Possibly the idle air control valve.. if it is you could probably get away with just a quick clean!
