I run a Ford Escort 1996 16v Estate ( for work, believe me its not my choice...) and tonight the electric window packed up on the drivers side. True to form, the window was about two inches down at the time and try as I might, it won't budge.

I am guessing its either the fuse or some sort of problem with the button. The passenger window works okay so I thought of taking the fuse out of one and replacing it with another. Having taken the cover of the fuse box off, I now cannot identify what symbol refers to the electric windows....

I know I'm being a numpty but anyone got any good ideas?

they'll be a door window shaped symbol on the underside of the fusebox lid.

Cheers. It was a dodgy connection within the switch in the end.
