hi my brother in law has an st24
and it has a flat spot at 3 k

it has new plugs and leads

is it likly the tuned ports or the injectors????

Neither. Is it a bad flat spot of just a moments dip in power? The IMRC maybe playing up but they all have a dip in the power curve when the IMRC opens up the secondary ports.If it flys at 3800-4000RPM upto the redline all the time then it's not the IMRC.(Silver box,front cam cover under Duratec engine cover)

but above 4 k it goes ok

what is an imrc?????

IMRC-silver box-controls secondary valves. Inlet Manifold Runner Control. FLA?!

arhh ha! Sorry-i speak in tech terms on these engines Hook it up to a diag to see if there are any Inlet Manifol Runner Control codes. Or just replace the leads & IMRC(£££ kerching)
