Roush's GT finale

Roush Ford GT 600RE unveiled

You'd probably move over for this...
Roush has developed a special Ford GT called the 600RE to mark the end of production for the American supercar. Based upon a standard GT, the 600RE features an engine upgrade and some styling tweaks.

The vehicle is designed and assembled at the Roush Technical Centre, based in Brentwood, Essex; it's also the only official Ford GT service centre in the UK. It's being marketed solely through Avro Motor Cars, based at the historic Brooklands site in Surrey.

The new Roush 600RE features include:

  • Upgraded supercharger pulley system
  • Unique vehicle numbering and identity plaques
  • Unique keyed light pack
  • Tubi exhaust system
  • Tinted glass
  • Transmission oil breather system
  • Colour keyed hoses
  • Black powder coated wheels
  • (Optional) 4-point harness pack

Production of the 600RE is limited to only 10 vehicles, so you’ll need to be quick if you fancy one...

If the standard one can do about 75 miles on a full tank, what is this going to do?

Still... grrr!

I'll take any of them.
Thanks.

Loving the stealth looks on this one though.

Actually I think it looks a bit chav. The wheels look pretty awful, the pully upgrade is doubtless just a smaller supercharger pulley to up the boost a little and the rest is just cosmetic.
Obviously this special edition will cost much more than the standard, look worse and depreciate quicker than the standard car.

Couldn't agree more. The Black on Black on Black phase will die and leave this car looking dated.

looks amazing cant help thinking that it would look even better with two white down the middle of the car and perhaps the side pods and mirrors painted white as well.

I saw that very one in the press shot (V8 AVR) on Monday morning parked a 100m away from my house & I have to say in the flesh it looks absolutely awesome, I was totally blown away by it. . . . .

Black is the coolest colour and timeless IMHO.
As for wheels etc they can always be changed if 'fashion' changes but since when have we petrolheads worried about fashion...

Anyway I would rather have a Fezza.

I've seen it in the flesh at Roush and it looks good in black. It's about the only GT colour that looks ok without the stripes. To be honest, I don't like the black wheels, but that's personnel preference. It doesn't look very chavy when you see it for real, just mean

I must admit, although the wheels look like TSW Venoms, painted black.. But I quite like 'em on it, and the black looks gorgeous, dunno what too make of it without the stripes though..

What's the price tag on these?

I think if I was going to the trouble of modifying it I'd go the route of the 700hp one that Jeremy Clarkson tried in his last video.
