Occasionally see one xenon headlight flickering on tickover, standing behind another vehicle.

Anybody know if this is normal?

Just about to go out of warranty and the dealer can't generate this effect.

Dave st220 when you mean ballast or bulb failing is it just a case of changing the bulb or does it have to go to Ford to be fitted, because I've noticed on my st220 04 plate that the drivers side seems to be brighter than passenger side?

IIRC, Xenon headlights are usually a sealed unit. It's not easy for Joe Public to change the bulbs themselves. I'll happily be proved wrong though.

Nothing sealed about them-get a replacement from here-www.autolamps-online.com

If one is brighter than the other then it's been replaced at some point-as they age they become more blue and less bright.
