gents any known faults with these,mine is a t-reg 1,800 petrol,the speedo is intermitent,

Could just be a loose connection in the harness plug in the back where it plugs in?

VSS - vehicle speed sensor - known problem on them.

If the car is an auto trans and the VSS is knackered the trans doesn't know when to shift and shifts all over the place.


Just a bit of a diagnostic clue with an auto trans car, not saying the car in question is..

Beware, I believe the retaining pin can be a pain in the arse!!

Matt all ok m8 cheers,new vss fitted,retaining pin was a pain as you said but got the bugger out in the end,cheers
