So, I should be getting a fiesta soon. Its only got a radio/cassette. How easy is it to fit a CD player?

The radio/cassette looks the same sort of size as a CD player would be and I'm pretty sure it can be removed.

Would I just be able to take it down to halfords or somewhere similar and ask them to fit one?

Any guide on the net would also be useful.

Cheers

replacement of the standard cassette with a normal cd player is a 10 minute job.

If it's a double din ford unit it's a straight swap. If it's a single din non ford unit thats going in, you'll need a facia plate and a set of wiring adapters. remove the radio, plug in the wiring convertor and fit the facia plate

connect the wiring to the cd, fit the cd into the facia

job done

Cheers. I'm not sure which it is, I haven't acyualy got the car yet. The tape/cassette player has a removeable fascia, don't know whether that makes any difference. Also, it looks as though it would just be a striagh swap. When I get the car I'll have to take a look.

Cheers.
