hi got a mk3 mondeo crash dmaged

td car starts and runs for 10 secs then cuts out

what is the correct diagnosis tool needed for mk 3 mondeo diesel

anyidea where i can get a cable to talk to the car for the laptop

you'll need to get this on a scanner for diagnosis - was the airbag deployed?

yes it was deployed which scanner do i need for this model

obd2 is for powertrain only so it won't work on the airbag but thats not what you need

if the bags been deployed then the crash data has to be erased from the ECU (there are firms that do this) or a new airbag ECU will have to be fitted - obviously the "triggered" bits will have to be replaced as well - check the squibb and clock spring carefully these often get burnt by the charge on deployment

I suspect the inertia cut out is triggered by the airbag deployment - if thats the case it wont run again until the airbag ECU has been sorted
