During the icy weather that we had up here in the North over the last few weeks, my heater has suddenly stopped working. I can turn the hot/cold dial the screen/feet/hands dial and the strength dial and I still get nothing. Garage recons might be heater motor which he quoted at around £300 to repair.

Does this sound right or is he taking me for a mug?

Have a quick read back through this forum - there's lots of posts about the heater matrix, and even details of the circuit diagrams.

Will have a look for you if you have no joy with search function.

if the blowers working but no heat it will almost certainly be the heater valve at fault - if the blower isn't working then they may be right and the blower motor could be at fault - that price seems a bit on the steep side though
