Engine warning light
Discussion
Since having my run in with a lump of styrofoam my little beastie has been playing up..
ABS light came on for a day..
Now the engine light comes on every couple of days for a day or two, i went to the ford garage but it had gone off again, they said not to worry and it can be checked out when the accident damage has been repaired.
What do you think? I live in the sticks and worried about breaking down, but I cant get to work if the car is in the garage, buses are a nightmare up here.

Could be anything down to a loose conenction?
Probably easiest way of finding out would be to take it to a local independent garage that has a diagnostic machine and read out the fault codes. If there are warning lights coming on then a fault should have been logged. The faults can go away though - they have whats called Ageing Criteria - so if its reported once and then doesn't reoccur its assumed to be a glitch and is automatically wiped.
