Wife's had hers for 3 years, I'd no idea it was fitted with anything...certainly nothing we've ever triggered (which given I enjoy mild hooning in it suggests if there is something it's really not invasive).
Given the car has a regular throttle-cable it's likely to only be mechanical if there is anything.

The BTCS is added functionality of the ABS system and is only active on the driven wheels to aid pulling away as mentioned. As soon as speeds rise above 15mph the system is turned off.
If you listen closely when pulling away slowly, the system will do a quick run of the pump motor at around 7mph
