Hey all!! Firstly, great site, I'm reging I''ve only stumbled accross it now!!
Secondly, I'm looking for a Mk2 Escort as a 21st present for myself! My 18th has long passed and I didn't get one then! Been looking since but aint got nothing yet! The prices over here, (Ireland) are ASTRONOMICAL!! 7k plus for a rust heap! So I've turned my sights to Britan, so if you reading this or anyone ya know has a nice Escort parked up and wants to let it go to a good home, for a reasonable fee, got in touch!!

My Escort mk2 rs2000 rally car is worth about £50,000
I've got friends who restores mk1 and 2's Escorts but they worth £15,000 plus.
You will have a difficult time finding one.
Get yourself a Ford Fiesta or Focus.

I paid close to a grand for my 1.1 popular rolling shell. It is absolutely mint and all original - well it was!

It's in the garage with most of the paint stripped and a rough protective coat of primer applied.

This spring / summer / autumn will be a chance to start cutting the rear end and welding in tubs / 4 link boxes and watts linkage towers. Be nice to see it caged and primed by the end of the year ... budget is the major limiting factor.

They are my absolute favourite car ever in wide arch rally trim.

Theres a yellow Mk2 with Minilite type rims roting away in a yard by Universal salvage near the Bedford interchange on the A421. I see it most weeks when the fence has fallen down again.

There is also a MK1 Cavalier in the hedge on the otherside of the road on its side, obviously a result of being t-boned at the cross roads! Nasty.

Anyway, the MK2 looks pretty good but has been standing a while i reckon.

Sorry if i didnt word it very well but it's in a yard next to Universal Salvage. Still there, saw it this morning. Def mustard yellow with minilites and looks pretty good, just needs a good clean really! Only downside is that its a 4 door.

No didn't get to go look at it, livin' in Ireland so my trips are pleaned when I've a few things to do, only for that I'd be straight down with my car transporter!
I have found a Mk1 in London for 700stg, though I've yet to see what it's like!! Want to go over this weekend but it's Paddys weekend so eh I doubt I'll get the time! Next weekend though hopefully, fingers x-ed!! So watch this space!
