Hi
My basic Ka model isn't even 3 months old yet - but after 5 goes at using the passenger door lock, it just came apart ( in my hands so to speak).

The Ford garage, that I bought it from, looked at it 2 weeks ago - said it needed a new barrel and would take approx 1 hour to fix.
Fair enough....except they couldn't do it then, so I was booked in for a week later. This time I waited for nearly 2 hours and when I asked them how much longer it would be....was then told I'd have to bring it back the next day as it needed more parts ordered.

Next day. an hours wait and it's returned to me fixed - EXCEPT today I actually use the passenger door side and instead of a nice solid clunk when I shut the door ...I get a tinny sounding echo

I want to rant and rage at their incompetence and demand another brand new car - or at least compensation for me hanging around at their place all the time - or courtesy car etc.
Can anyone tell me what my legal rights are concerning faulty car and even faultier repair...and what did they do wrong - is it easy to fix?

Thanks for the reply
It spent another 2 mornings in the garage ( Wednesday and Thursday ) - but now appears to be fixed.
I certainly wouldn't entrust that garage to do it's first service...or any other 'ex-warrantee' type work.
