maybe someone here knows about it.

I know it increases the boost for a few seconds after flooring it, but does anyone know what conditions cause it to happen? maybe foot down below a certain rpm range, only when the revs are below a certain range etc etc.

any info welcome

in basic terms, under hard acceleration the management system will allow higher boost pressures than normal and supply fueling accordingly, mondeo goes from 360Nm to 400Nm under these conditions.

Thats quite a difference on the mondeo, the increase is less on the 2.0tdci engine isnt it? . any chance of the further details?

Im guessing that it only provides extra boost when:

engine is up to running temp
hit full throttle
revs are below 3krpm
gear is 3rd or above
