wavey all!

First time post in this forum... I'm getting the itch to go back to some good old fashioned Fast Ford turbo power, and am debating between an RS or an ST...

Will no doubt be mildly tweaked in due course... evil

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

I take it you're choosing between a Mk I Focus RS and a Mk II Focus ST?

Tuan Brunel Ford have a couplke of ST's in at the moment take one for a thrash or if there no good go and see my mate Chris at Clevedon Ford he has a ST3 demonstrator in orange.

I would go for the ST as it wont be long before the 300bhp barrier is broken with a remap and bigger intercooler Alan at pumabuild (Brum)is doing good things with them.

Recently on the Essen Motorshow, there was a raidHP CodeRed ST. 315 PS - serious, 520 Nm momentum - insane. Monster that.

Homepage RaidHP (though the Essen Version is not quoted there...):

The engine bay looked quite good, too.

Spotted on the cover of a mag at the weekend, that someone had been tinkering and put in a Haldex 4WD system and done some engine work...

Sorry. I spotted in in a service station the other week. A quick Google shows it was Performance Ford...

This month we’ve been particularly impressed with the quality of machinery being built and our cover car is just such an example. BSR is well-known in its native country of Sweden but its demo car is getting Focus internet sites in the UK buzzing like a faulty electricity sub-station, and for good reason. It’s the first Focus ST with 4WD, a big power hike and that’s running on ethanol, and that’s particularly good news for all of us if a Focus RS, or at least a four-wheel drive version of the existing ST doesn’t make it into production. At least conversions for both the engine and transmission will feed the market that’s just crying out for such a car, so the future’s looking good for Ford fans, one way or another!
