Anyone else drive a Focus and in particular a old shape 1.6. Do the way the accelerators placed in this car make it hard to heel and toe or is it just me. I can't heel and toe, but had a try and find the accelerator spaced a lot further down than the brake.

i dont know the old focus very well (i did learn to drive in one, but never tried to heel and toe with my instructor sat next to me. i dont think he would have liked that).

heel and toeing does take a while to get used to, and lots of people do it in different ways. some do the traditional toe brake and heel accelerator, while others use one side of the foot for the brake and roll the other side of the foot onto the accelerator. it does depend on the car and the pedal spacing but i would have thought that you should be able to heel and toe a focus. it is fairly easy in the Ka!

It's too easy in the ka - often hit both pedals by accident if i'm wearing trainers!

Cheers,
Rob.

Accelerator further down than brake? On mine it's much higher up and further towards the driver making it impossible to heel and toe.
