Puma - Front End Vibration (now gone!)
Discussion
Just thought I'd share some good news....
Had bad front end vibration between 55 and 65mph for last couple of thousand miles. Tried rebalancing tyres, swapping front rear and it had no effect whatsoever. Noticed during gear change at that speed that when the car was de-clutched the vibration went only to reappear when drive was taken back up.
Went on Pumapeople (excellent website) and was pointed in the direction of driveshafts. Other Pumapeople members had same issue and then sorted it with one or a pair of new driveshafts.
Just done the work on mine (new pair) the car is now back 100%. The longer driveshaft with bearing support seems to be the culprit as there is play in the bearing itself.
If anyone else has Puma with these problems this could help point you in the right direction......
