Hi,

Does anybody know which rear box fits a 2001 1.6 Puma. The various exhaust centres only have the 1.4 or 1.7 Pumas in their books. Also, at what mileage should the cambelt be changed?

Thanks
Lee

I have a 1.6 too, bit worrying that they dont know! The 1.6 is the same engin that was in the previous shape Fiesta zetec-s though so its probably the same as that. Thats the previous shape fiesta I mean, not the current one. Could you let me know if you find out that thats the right one as I'll probably need to get an exhaust at some point too.

Thanks for your replies.

I have just spoken to the local Ford dealer and they say that their books show that the 1.7 rear box has the same part number as the 1.6.

The 1.4 is not the same, nor is the 1.6 Fiesta Zetec S.

I wouldnt go on what a Ford dealer says as most of them still think the cambelt change is 100,000miles or 10 years even though it was changed by Ford to 80,000miles or 5 years. If I was you I would talk to a Puma specialist like Pumabuild or Pumaspeed.
