Ecsort - rear wiper hassles

any ideas as to why the rear wiper on my Mk5 escort sometimes works, but 90% of the time doesn't?

i can leave the stalk switched to on, and it wont work, but an hour later it will just kick in.

doh...hadn't thought of that one. Will have to give that a try....just sitting here thinking of all the things i need to get done before the winter kicks in

Clean the brass contacts on the loading lip of the boot

cool...will try that one too.

The car was sat still for about 1yr if not longer before i got it, so theres loads of these silly problems
