So yesterday I had a great day out with the monkeys at Longleat and you see them jumping all over cars. Though I'd take my chances.

Basicly there wasn't much damage but still was some. There are two rubber strips that go along the roof. One was ripped half off but I have fixed that but the 2nd one was that the rear water sprayer for the rear wiper has been half hinched.

So ford garage have quoted me under £20 for a new one, but they can't fit the car in for a few days to fix it. It arrives at my local garage tomorrow morning and I was wonder how easy or hard it would be to fit myself.

Its a Mk6 Ford Fiesta, they only sell the whole replacement light/ water sprayer and not just the wee plastic bit that directs the water.

So has anyone had any expirence fitting a high rear brake light?

David.

The light held in via clips of screws or anything, I don't have the car currently.

I guess at 9am I'll find out.

Yeah I won't be going in again, but with two women in the car can you always say no.

The way everyone was looking at my roof laughing as we went round, so you think yeah there they must be ripping the car aerial apart or something, then when someone quickly said, ouch I think thats going to cost you.

You know it wasn't just an easy to replace thing.

Sods law hey.

If its the same light as a Fusion, then open the boot and remove the 2 grommets. use a flat bladed screwdriver to push the clips out and carefully remove the lamp unit.

I would also recommend a towel or something to prevent the roof getting marked, while the hatch is open.
