Central locking on StreetKa - Need help

My girlfriend has a StreetKa and the central locking has started to play up. When she locks the car the car sits there flashing the hazzard lights.

Has anyone come across this???

Is she locking it with the key fob? Does the car actually lock when this happens? Does the car make a sound (beep the horn) when she locks it?

It almost sounds like she is setting off the panic alarm but the horn is set to not sound when arming/disarming.


Could it be trying to tell her one of the doors is not shut all of the way?

Another possibility could be a lighting relay that is sticking in the closed position. Easy way to test the last theory is to turn the hazard lights on/off and see if they continue to flash when turned off.

mine does that sometimes, usually find one of the doors or boot not shut properly, but appear to be closed.
