Hi all, I have been considering buying an older Ford for a while as a fun/competition car that is easy to maintain and also easy to get parts for. I know I should have done this years ago when they went for peanuts but.....
When I think of all the good cars I could have had that are now worth loads of £££...
Anyway, if I was looking for an Anglia, Cortina 1 or 11, or Escort 1, what sort of price range am I looking at,for a runner not concourse, but reasonably sound? I am happy to carry out work/repairs/upgrading myself.
Where is the best places to look, E bay/Autotrader seem to turn up very little and the "Classic Car Traders" seem to be selling concourse at VERY high prices.

Regards

Have a look at the e-bay link below. Plenty to choose
from at the moment. I got my RS from e-bay last week
and they are great fun even by Todays standards.

Thanks Colin, been back & forward through e bay. Find it difficult to bid on a car unseen and worried about bid rigging etc but it does give an idea of prices.
Doen't Escorts fetch scary prices?

Again, try Classic Ford and Retro Ford magazines. Escorts are no longer a cheap option as you mention, also parts are going through the roof! You can always fit a Zetec motor though?

Good luck
