Hi advice needed,
have got a 1.7 T reg puma, when I accellarate in 2nd/3rd and 4th it gets to a certain point and there is pressure coming from the accellorater pedal as if its hard to press down and the engine slightly slows, its been in Ford all day have diagniostics and various things tested and they can't find anything wrong with it!! Ahhhhhh I have been arguing with them all day telling them that I drive it all the time and I know there is something wrong, any clues?
Thanks in advances and yes I can't spell either

What have you tried so far?
I'm not familiar with the under-bonnet bits of a Puma, so these suggestions may not be appropriate, take them as you will...
Assuming it is a cable operated butterfly, can you pop the cable clip off the butterfly actuator and manipulate it by hand? You should be able to tell if it is getting stiff at any point. Obviously do this with the engine off. Also, try pulling on the throttle cable to see if it sticks. These are cheap and easily replaced. If the cable has an adjuster, make sure the cable isn't too slack or too tight. It may be that when your foot is 3/4 of the way to the floor the throttle is wide open and you are just straining the cable.
If you have a multimeter, try and measure the electrical resistanceof the throttle position sensing potentiometer, make sure it is smooth and progressive. They can wear out along the most often used parts, or oxidise over the unused parts.
