MK4 Escort Rear lights este no worko

EDIT - It's a MK6 apparently (1998 S)

A friend of mine was recently "fecking about" with the radio in his S plate escort. Takes radio out, fecks about connecting Ipod up, puts radio back in. Since then his rear lights haven't worked. Neither have the dash lights or the infernal "lights on" warning buzzer.

Indicators are fine, rear fog is fine, reverse is fine, brake lights are fine. Allegedly no broken fuses.

Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

have you checked all the connections?

i've got a mark 6 and when my radio was wired in, it makes the clock on the dash go backwards lol.

have you tried re-wiring the stereo? it'll just be a dodgy connection somewheee
