Hi Chaps

Did a search but couldn't find anything so can someone please help me with a couple of recommendations for cheap insurance for my Focus ST, arriving next week?

I just got £1,100 from elephant which was a nasty surprise, not least as I'm quite a sensible profile these days.

many thanks in advance

confused.com saves you getting loads of quotes from the main insurers. If they're no good, try flicking through the ads in the back of Evo for the specialist performance insurers.

How old are you?

Elephant was good for me but Admiral (Elephant's underwriters) were always 20-30% more expensive. When I reached the age of about 27/28 when they switched over and Admiral was better.

Admiral weren't the best for the ST but they matched the best quote I got from elsewhere on the web, Norwich Union iirc.

thanks

33, 6 points (SP30 and TS20), no shunts, years of no claims, family fleet of 4-5 depending how you count them, countryside location, 7k miles pa in this car etc.

best quote now is £475 through confused.com (thanks v much!) which is rather better than elephant's £1,100!

think I will try Liverpool Victoria as they were always brilliant on Elises; Bell Direct were brilliant on everything before they got taken over by Admiral

thanks for input anyway

cheers

You're welcome. Split the difference?

Seriously though, shopping around can save you a bomb. I've had such widley varying quotes on the ST220, ranging from £700 up to £3000. It's a crazy business!
