The first one failed to reach its reserve at £17K+ !!

IMO these cars represent a better long term investmemt than the Sierrra Cosworth RS500 .

I can remember lusting after an RS 1600 when they first came out ,, i was only 12 at the time ,,,, but i really wanted one , plus i learnt to drive in my brothers Mk1

Re: the RS1600; I worked on the line at AVO until it closed in March 75, building the Mk1 RS2000 and Mexico as well as the RS1600. I can still hear that BDA being fired up on the finished car.
I lusted after them too.
