Anyone got any experience of the Superchip Bluefin unit on a 2 Litre Zetec '03 Focus. Had my car for 18 months and 24K miles and want a bit more performance whilst keeping car as standard as possible. I understand the unit can be used as a basic diagnostic tool?

The Bluefin on the tooleaters is a bit hit-and-miss as far as I have seen, some love it and some notice no difference (or nothing worthy of the price tag). One thing you have to note with the Bluefin is that top end gains on a bang per buck basis may not be great, but in theory the overall driveability and power delivery should be improved.

The great thing is their trial period, try it and if you don't like it - back it goes, and you can try something else (e.g. Unichip - not that I am the greatest fan of these either).

Oh, and yes it can be used to read the DTCs, but the test mode on the dash can do the same (not sure if it will pick up all of them though).

I just had the bluefin device fitted, along with a k&n induction kit and saw my bhp jump from 132 to 152 on a rolling road test. was well worth the money and i can certainly tell the difference. i would try it. you can always use the refund option.
