Prodrive will take you for a drive

If you're in the market for a new Ford Focus ST, the range-topping, 222bhp version of the ubiquitous hatch, then act quickly if you fancy a day's training, for free.

That's because Ford is offering a free driver training day with rallying, driving and car development specialist Prodrive to the first 1,500 individuals who order one of the Tonka toy-coloured, turbocharged, £17,495 whizz-bangs.

Didn't Honda offer free training with the Civic Type R? Not with Prodrive though.

I think all the places have been taken now,

I don't think i'd want to take a brand spanking new car straight from the showroom on to the test track.

Honda did offer a driving day, but it was on the road with a police instructor (well my day was), the day was organised through MAC driver training. iirc they offered a similar day to people who bought fireblades too.

Does anyone know if this offer should still apply if you bought an ST through an on-line broker before the 1500 were up?

I went on a Prodrive training day which came free with my RX-8 - it was excellent. The skid pan is also the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Yes they did with the Civic Type R it was a full day with a MAC instructor
