Ford's Bodywork Warranty
Discussion
A result this week !!!
Noticed a small rust bubble near the front of the roof on the wife's ST200. The Ford Warranty covers up to 6 years on the bodywork for Mondeos, took the car to a local dealer on Tuesday for an inspection and got a call yesterday confirming it is covered and will be repaired under warranty. What a result as the whole roof will have to be re-sprayed which means a couple of scratches towards the rear of the roof bars will get done as well.
6 years is today !!! Car was first registered 5th January 2000. Estimate for the work is about £400.
Can't complain at all as we've put almost 130k miles on it since it was new and this is the first sign of rust anywhere on the bodywork.

Well done fella!
I also got a good result out a ford dealer today, they do price matching on all there service work. I got a quote from an independant, one hours labour so about £48 + vat +parts. Gave ford a ring and first they quoted me £96 , I said no thanks, they then asked if I had been given a better price and if so they'd match it. Due to me being slightly forgetful I said I had a quote for £48 inc VAT and parts and they happily matched it
Pretty good as the parts alone are £15 and its a b*tch of job without a proper ramp!
