Ford st tdci new owner

Hi all , just bought a 54 plate mondeo st tdci take delivery on wed ,very impressed with drive and general quality of build hope it does the job well . Simon

One of my friends has one and really likes it. He used to have ST220's and the only things he really misses are the nice v6 growl and the top end. However, mpg is nearly double, so he is quite happy! I was really tempted by one as I flogged my ST220 a couple of months ago. I think Mondeo's are a very good car indeed nowadays. Shame that there are lots of badge snobs out there.

now what you mean about the v6 growl !! truth is i ,ve gone from a Audi a6 4.2 quattro been a badge snob for years but ford has raised the stakes a hell of alot could not believe the quality of the car ,i need a estate and i hated the new a6 + they are so much money its scarey i lost enough money on my old a6 to buy the mondeo in 3 years never again .

Well, I don't think you made a bad choice. I was tempted to get a A6 Avant 2.7t recently, but was warned away due to running costs. Both the Mondeo and the Focus really are excellent cars and are so much better than most of the Vauxhall equivalents.

Hey Simon never thought I'd see you here!!!!!
You won't be dissapointed (but there again I'm biased!!) We've got the ST220 and she's only parting with it for the FocusST, otherwise it would've been the ST TDCi.
Yep build quality is as good as any....IMHO.....

WOW...what a great car can,t believe how ford have raised the game makes the Audi look a bit dated , running cost are half that of the Audi ,did 440 miles this week and still had 95 miles left in the tank all for £50 of diesel .Great drive to well sorted chasis so far well pleased although everybody has been taking the p*ss about me buying a diesel and a Ford ..... i just remind them i have a ultima in the garage .
