Clutch bite point on Fiesta 1.25 Ghia
Discussion
We have just bought an immaculate little X'2000 Fiesta Ghia for the Mrs to use for work & shopping trips.. Getting a full service done tomorrow however I have a small concern regarding the clutch bite point as it seems very high (i.e. it bites almost when the pedal is fully released). There is no clutch slip evident at the moment but then its only a little 1.25 engine so its hardly brimming with torque!
Is a high bite point common on this car? The car has 39k miles on it - does it seem feasible that the clutch may need changing?
Cheers

There should be a bolt on the clutch pedal, that you can adjust with an allen key... this will help lower the pedal - it should be inline with the brake and throttle.
Its not so much the height of the pedal thats causing the concern - more that the bite point of the clutch is right at the top of the clutch movement... I will however check that they are all in line because I guess if the bolt is set incorrectly it may be holding the clutch in a little.
