When washing this sport ka i noticed it was going rusty on the tail gate around the where the rear wiper is.

Took it in to the local ford body shop who said it would take about 2-3 weeks.

Well 6 weeks later i have just chased them up & there is still no awnser from them them. He said he has to chase them up.

So is there anything/some 1 i can talk to that can put some pressure to get this sorted. The cars only bloody 2 years old.

Today...

Ahh this saga is still on going.

Loads of phone calls to the body shop dept & none returned.

Lots of calls the the ford consumer help line with no joy.

I then phone again my local dealer & ask to speak to the dealer princleaple. The girl on reception asked what it was regarding and then i get put through to the manager of the body shop again who i have left messages for.

He told me that at the moment he does not have enough time in the day to chase it up & that i will have to wait. He said im not alone and has loads of them to do.

I said i had waited 8 weeks & he said well i have people that have been waiting longer & thats it.

I asked if i would have an awnser this week & he said maybe.

WTF do i do this is very sh!t customers services.

Have emailed WATCHDOG to see if they can help.


HAS ANY 1 HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH THERE KA, if so please contact me.

There's a "no name and shame" policy on these forums, so you might want to remove the name of the dealer.

I'd suggest you speak to Ford Customer Services on 0845 841 1111 and see if they can help.

(I'm pretty sure that's the number)

P.S Ford customer service is shit, phoned them about 5 times & they fob me off that hey cant help me

Sorry, can't help then. I found them to be quite helpful when I had a rust issue on my (then) brand new Fiesta Zetec-S...

Yes when I had an insect infestation in my new Focus back in 2003 a quick call to the Executive Office at Ford HQ, got me agreement within 24 hours to a replacement vehicle.

ka's always go rusty.i work at a ford dealers and have not seen one yet that has not got rust on it.mainly around the slam panel under the bonnet where it meets the wings and the other panels.also prone to worn steering racks,power steering pumps and leaking power steering bottles.
