Now I know that a 2.0l diesel Mondeo estate has'nt got much of a thrill factor, but I'm considering one for the long trogs up and down the M1/A1/M62 for work.
How are they on economy on these type of runs, anyone know?
Also are they a ood buy at Ghia X level around 05 year.
Any reviews please.
Cheers

Absolutely ideal for this. They have ridiculously long 6th gears, ie about 2500rpm at 100mph and will easily give high 40's/low 50's mpg with sensible motorway cruising. By far and away the best of this type of car to drive too.

6-12 months old is great value too.

Paul.

I'll 2nd that. Got mine 11months old ,8K miles 130TDCI Ghia X estate a year ago for £10 grand less than a new one.Approx 43mpg in all types of driving, all the kit and so far 100% reliable.
