I got my self a ford capri over summer :) yay

(posted some forum before i bought)
it's going great and i love it to bits... but now it's tucked up for the winter and i'm back in manchester.

the problem is i miss it, and came up with a crazy idea

Would it be possible to create your own capri?
as in like a kit car... just build one from scratch?

I was thinking aluminium tubing to make a shell
carbon fibre body work
2.0t engine (a honda engine or something with a kick)
and the rest

i think my idea is a bit ambitious, but i was wondering what other people thought, and how much they would estimate it would cost? as of yet i have not found anywhere that will make me a aluminium frame... so i've fallen at the first hurdle

this is only an idea mind... and i have alot of them... but it would be really kool to have built my own capri, solving problems like rust and slight lack of speed on the way.

What do people think.... and don't be too hard on me

(i am aware it's just like building a kit race car)

Why don't you just buy another one and space frame it? You would be able to put glass fibre panels on it if you can still get them. And then put a V8 in, not a turbo'd engine. Sounds better!!
