has any body tuned there st 170 ??

had my st 170 for a year now and thinking about engine tuning , just wondered if anyone had and good results ???? or if it just a waste of money !(says he who spent £11000 on tuning a RS500-525bhp)

Usual stuff is available, though the exhaust is pretty good already, you can't alter the cam timing due to the VCT, but thats only on the inlet side, so some gains can be made by putting a vernier pully on the exhaust side and setting that up. Superchips have had a hard time getting more power out of the ST, early revisions of the map decreased power on many cars, though they now have various maps available. There is a supercharger in the offing, and there is also a turbo'd ST now finished by Power Engineering. The ST section in the forums at www.ffoc.co.uk is full of ST boys seeking more power
