Ecoboost 1.0 auto power train malfunction light

We have a 2019 mk4 focus 1.0 auto and after about an hour driving on the motorway the car will hesitate then put on the spanner light and go into limp home mode, if you stop and power cycle the car it will then be fine for rest of journey. Car has been to Ford dealers twice with issue but still not fixed. Car has had brand new engine under Ford warranty about 1000 miles ago after oil pump belt failure.

Anyone else had a similar issue with theirs and able to give some advise?

The gearbox is not much better than the engine.

Many faults like ths and starting issues on Fords, is simply down to a battery that is not 100% This includes automatic gearbox faults.

Check that first, even if your battery is seemingly good.
