Anyone reject a new Fiesta ST last September?

If anyone rejected a brand new 73 plate Mean Green Fiesta ST last September to a Ford dealer in the north of England, I'd be really grateful if they would PM me.

I bought a car with 98 miles from new from a major car supermarket chain. The day after collection the engine shut down for the first time. It turns out that the car was rejected by the first owner - possibly for the same reason - when it was a few days old last September - 13 miles before I bought it. Because Ford can't find any fault codes, the dealer I bought it from is refusing to take any action due to lack of evidence of any fault. Ford don't want to know either.

I'd therefore like to get in touch with the original owner to get a more detailed understanding of the issues they had with the car as it might help my legal case against the dealer or provide a lead to investigate the cause myself.

This might have been better placed in the legal bit, plenty of good information over there with people who have been down a similar route.

I've started a legal claim but I'm trying to contact the original owner so I put it in this section in the slim hope that they - or someone who knows them - may be a regular here.

I'd actually prefer to find and repair the fault so I can keep the car. There are virtually none left with the spec and low miles on mine and it's a great car - when it works!
