2015 Focus: Battery has low charge
Discussion
I’ve got a 2015 Focus and find the stop/start doesn’t tend to be available for use - not a huge problem, if anything a great feature…
However recently the ICE screen has been going blank or displaying a low voltage warning.
Looking online this is battery related - is it best to change the battery (my default), or is it something to do with charging ‘mode’ that needs adjusted? Some forums talk about the battery charging not being set to full power from the factory and this can impact the stop/start.
I can change the battery - no issue - but no point wasting money if it’s just a setting I can flip on!

A 2015 car if its on it OE battery will be at end of its batteries natural life. The stop start only works if you have more than 14v iirc. If you generally dont do long journeys your battery will not have enough charge for the stopstart to kick in.
Anything less thsn 12v and the car will not run.
A new stop start battery with fitting will be around £200. Its a job even kwik fit can do.
