Ecoboost Recall?

Saw this appear in my feed this morning. Its a US site, so unsure if it will apply to the rest of the world (do they even know the rest of the world exists?)
Mine went a couple of months ago, the car was overdue a service, not hugely, but I suspect that Ford will use this as a get out clause. Bottom line is, the Wet Belt started to fail at under 60k, when the recommended wet belt change is at 150k.
I suspect I will be told to "do one", but someone else might have more luck trying to get some money back.

Extract from James Gilboy's article :-
The problem is found in the 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine used in model year 2016-2018 Focus hatchbacks and 2017-2022 EcoSport SUVs. These engines have developed a reputation for losing oil pressure as early as 50,000 miles, with mechanics disassembling them to find oil pickups clogged by crumbled oil pump drive belts. The problem was speculated to stem from issues with the belt tensioner, and its exact origin was finally confirmed in the NHTSA's recall document.
Yes US based, no mention of older Ecoboosts,

I was told by independent Ford garage they were changing engines at 30,000 miles , I’m assuming Ford were paying for the engines as he said my 65 plate , 94,000 wouldn’t be covered due to age / miles ,, which is fair enough really
I got rid of car so not sure if issue was belt related , told it could be vacuum pump , wet belt , turbo or various other things , so cut it loose ( it’s now taxed in Worcestershire, so could of been a easy fix ) .
