Grinding noise/feeling ford focus 2008

Morning all, i have a 2008 1.6 ford focus, when i start the car, turn the wheel to the left and accelerate, there sounds like a grinding noise coming from the drivers side and the accelerator pedal feels like it is scraping the floor, it feels a little like when you emergency brake but in the accelerator pedal, does anyone know what this is? is it the wheel bearings? i have taken it to a garage but they couldnt find the issue

The thing that jumped straight to mind was a collapsed CV joint. Whenever I’ve had that in the past the symptoms are always grindy horrible noises when moving with lock on.
