1.0 ecoboost - map out catalyst MIL?
Discussion
I have a new shed, in the form of a 2013 Focus 1.0 ecoboost.
It’s got 120k on the clocks but has had a brand new engine and turbo fitted by Ford as part of the ecoboost recall/repair program.
I’m constantly getting fault lights/codes for the cat efficiency, so given the engine is new I’m assuming the cat itself is goosed.
A 1k cat replacement isn’t viable, but I’ve seen that some remaps for these engines include a decat MIL delete, which I’m assuming would also get rid of my fault light/code.
Does anyone know if this can be done separately - just map out the MIL on its own?
