Ecoboost 1.6 Rebuild

Hello,

I've been searching the forums but cannot seem to find if anyone has had their 1.6 Ecoboost rebuilt/reconditioned. My car lost compression in cylinder 3 about a month ago and the garage has had the head off today saying that the piston is loose within the cylinder.

I assume that it needs a rebuild, top and bottom, but would like this done by a specialist or a trusted garage (not some dodgy eBay seller offering full rebuilds!!).

There's a common problem with the ecoboost with ovalling and issues with the block deck that render the block scrap. Usual solution is to swap the entire engine from a scrapper or buy a new short engine.
