That the next mondeo in 2007 is going to be RWD ? as Ford are moving the Mondeo upmarket to go 3 series scalping ?

That would be ace if it were true.. make the Duratec easier for RWD fitting on a budget hopefully, and also for those not wanting a boring fwd company car etc.

Where did you get the information from?

i have it the same rumor on the web a couple of times, but from all the reports the next gen mondeo will be based on a mondified focus platform. so unless the platform is capable of being converted for RWD for mass production then i don't see why not. imho the next gen mondeo will be FWD with AWD available on the more powerfull versions.

I love to see ford make the next mondeo RWD!

Land Rover are building the next Freelander on the same lines as the X type jag. Is the new mondeo/focus platform or a version of the mondeo/x type platform - hope to know shortly after I have managed a sneek at one of the first prototypes being built over next few weeks.

Nice , let us know what its like , allready been told by a mate that the mondeo name is being dropped not sure how true it is though , also if it is RWD tell ford to leave the traction/esp control off , limited slip diff will be fine ta
