I'm looking for a 2018 or 2019 Ford Mondeo. I'd like a manual gearbox and I had been looking at cars with the old 2.0 tdci 180ps with 400nm torque. I've now seen some of the new 2.0 ecoblue 150ps with 370nm of torque for sale with the facelifted shape. I know the ecoblue uses adblue (clue is in the name). Has anyone driven both? Will I notice much difference in power? Will the ecoblue be a lot better on fuel? What does anyone think in general, which would you choose?

Although not Mondeo's, the fiancé has a 2014 Kuga FWD with the 2 litre tdci 150ps engine and I have the 2019 Focus estate with the 2 litre 150ps ecoblue both are manuals.
We agree that the Focus is quieter and more punchy, however its also more likely to stall when the engine is cold.
MPG wise she gets low to mid 40s in the Kuga and I get mid to high 50s in the Focus.
With the Focus having adblue I tend to put 5 litres in every 3000 miles, I'm unsure if it has a 10 litre tank but running it low / dry struggle to fit the whole lot in. So for practicality and peace of mind, I buy the big 10 litres, draw a halfway line on the bottle and top it up like that.
Servicing the Focus is every 18,000 miles, think the Kuga is 12,000 (not that it matters if you don't do the miles and stick to annual)

Prior to getting the Focus I did look at Mondeo's however the wheelbase length is massive and it doesn't have a particularly big boot.
A few people also complain about the rear C pillar being too low on the hatchback causing passengers to bang their head. So the Focus estate being smaller on outside and bigger on inside was a win for me.
